About the Author
John Goldingay is the David Allan Hubbard Professor of Old Testament in the School of Theology at the Fuller Theological Seminary in the USA. Prior to joining Fuller, he was principal and a professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at St John's Theological College, Nottingham. His published titles include Old Testament Theology (two volumes published, with more to come) and commentaries on Daniel, Isaiah, and Psalms. As well as being a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, he serves on the editorial board for the Library of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Studies.

Bringing bible characters to life

Vey readable. An easy to follow presentation of the issues in the texts. Goldingay brings the characters to life. Certainly not a commentary but a good read which anyone could pick up and enjoy

Good transaction but liberal commentary

The transaction to purchase and deliver the book through Amazon was great but I was disappointed that the book is quite liberal from my perspective. I prefer a more conservative commentary. I should have guessed when the title included "(Old Testament for Everyone)" that it was from a more liberal viewpoint. It would have been nice to have something about the author included in the book description.
